About this role
Legal Counsel within Invesco's Asia Pacific (Investments) Legal team. Primary function is to serve as trusted legal adviser to Invesco's private markets funds business, including structuring, formation, launching and maintenance of real estate and other alternative investment funds.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with investment teams to structure, form, launch and maintain real estate and other alternative investment funds. Draft, review and negotiate fund documentation including private placement memoranda, limited partnership agreements. Provide legal advice on fund formation, governance, operations and investor relations. Coordinate with external legal counsel and tax advisors. Stay current on industry trends and regulations related to private markets fund formation.
Requirements
- 6+ years of legal experience in investment management with emphasis on real estate or private equity fund formation. Previous experience at national law firm or in-house counsel at leading asset manager. Strong understanding of alternative investment fund structures. Excellent drafting and negotiation skills. Full professional proficiency in English; Mandarin or Cantonese a distinct advantage.
