About this role
BlackRock's Fundamental Equities Emerging Market and Asia team is seeking a Research Analyst with primary responsibility of conducting independent North Asia industrial sectors (manufacturing, industrial robotics, battery, etc.) research. The role will be based in Hong Kong and will require attending company meetings, as well as participating in trade shows and industry conferences.
Responsibilities
- Identify potential investments in North Asia, collaborate with portfolio managers to evaluate investment theses. Carry out independent industry research, including monitoring macroeconomic trends, technological innovations, regulatory changes, and geopolitical factors. Attend industry conferences, earnings calls, and investor meetings. Prepare detailed research reports and presentations summarizing key findings. Stay current with market news and understand industry dynamics.
Requirements
- Minimum 10 years of relevant equity research experience, with sector experience in industrials, manufacturing, or related cyclical sectors; buy-side experience is highly advantageous. Strong academic background with a bachelor's degree in finance, Economics, or a related discipline; MBA or master's degree is a plus. CFA (Level II or III) or equivalent professional qualifications preferred. Advanced proficiency in Excel, Bloomberg, and investment analysis tools.
